Territories were sold back to various indigenous groups 200 years ago, but government mishandling instigated conflicts among the groups. Author calls for indigenous solidarity in order to create their own effective solutions.

The United States and Mexican border is compared to the Berlin wall under Soviet influence and coined “El Gran Muro de Washington.” Discusses the scapegoating of poor migrant communities as the cause of the state’s economic and social failings.

Foros Indigenas on December 18 & 19 proposed several demands for indigenous groups’ rights. Mixtecos, Zapotecos, Triquis, Chinatecos, & native groups: Paipai, Cochimi, Kiliwa, Cucapa y Kuimai de Baja California represented.
